We’ve had a cracking Easter weekend at YHL Parks, with the glorious sunshine making it an egg-stra special occasion.
At York House Holiday Park, managers Sam and John, and park assistants Ellie and Loz, organised a range of fun entertainment for all ages. The park is always popular with families because of its friendly community atmosphere, but this Easter it welcomed more children than ever before – and what a great time they all had!
Among the Easter activities for all the family were a disco on Easter Saturday, an egg hunt on Easter Sunday, a raffle, and competitions for the best Easter bonnet and best decorated egg, with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Away from the fun and games, many of the families also took the opportunity to make the most of the sunshine by visiting the many attractions within easy reach of York House. Some families had a day at one of the fantastic beaches at Scarborough and Whitby, others enjoyed the thrill of the theme park at Lightwater Valley or Flamingoland, while the breathtaking scenery of the nearby North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales was also a popular choice.
Many people simply enjoyed basked in the amazing weather by relaxing on site, either on their verandas while the children had fun in the five-acre playing field, or with a leisurely stroll through the beautiful grounds of York House and neighbouring Abbots Green. The indoor games area provided welcome shelter from the sun when it got a bit too hot!
As always, the superb on-site Old Barn Coffee Shop was serving a range of traditional local produce, including an impressive amount of ice cream and sundaes! The café also proved a popular stop-off point for many passing motorcyclists.
York House Holiday Park has a great selection of holiday homes and runs family-friendly activities throughout the year. Find out more about our award-winning park here or give John or Sam a call on 01845 597495 for a chat and to arrange a viewing.
