Cause for celebration! Following the Prime Minister’s confirmation earlier this week, the re-opening of our holiday parks and coffee shop is almost here.
In line with the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown, we are excited to be opening all our North Yorkshire holiday parks from Monday, April 12th.
The YHL Parks team can’t wait to give the warmest of welcomes to our home owners when they return to York House Holiday Park, Abbots Green Luxury Lodges, Monk Park Holiday Park and Old Hall Holiday Park.
We are also delighted to be able to re-open the Old Barn Coffee Shop, our on-site café at York House, which will be offering a takeaway service at weekends. More details can be found below.
We are so looking forward to welcoming everyone back to their happy place for some well-deserved relaxation and fun. There will no doubt be lots of smiles, laughter and virtual hugs as we all catch up with each other – from a safe distance, of course!
What are the rules?
From April 12th, holiday parks can re-open, along with non-essential retail, personal care premises such as hairdressers, public buildings including libraries, outdoor attractions, and indoor leisure facilities such as gyms.
All our home owners have been given detailed information about the latest restrictions and reminded of the procedures that we implemented after the first lockdown, and that will remain in place to keep everyone safe.
Social distancing must still be observed and outdoor gatherings are limited to six people or two households. We are fortunate to have plenty of open space at all our parks, including between the individual caravans and lodges, so maintaining a safe distance shouldn’t be a problem.
As mixing inside is not permitted, the indoor communal facilities at our parks will remain closed for the time being. We will miss holding our many social events this year but at this stage it will give us more than enough pleasure to see all our homeowners enjoying their leisure time in their holiday homes once again.
While we encourage our guests to support businesses in the local community as they begin to open their doors, we are asking people to be mindful of the current rules and to show respect to shop owners and members of the public.
The Old Barn Coffee Shop
Following the popularity of a takeaway service over the Easter weekend, the Old Barn Coffee Shop will open again for a reduced takeaway menu only on Saturday and Sunday, April 10th and 11th. In line with the Government restrictions, the café will then open for takeaway and outside table service every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from April 16th onwards.
Thank you
As has been the case throughout the past year or so, we have received a great many messages of kindness, patience and understanding during the latest lockdown. We have been touched by every one of them and would like to thank everybody for their support.
We can’t wait to see you all soon!
