A big shout out to the cycling group that set out on Saturday morning. These 13 hardy souls rode 21 miles from the holiday park to Dalton, Topcliffe, Busby Stoop, Sand Hutton, Breckenbrough, Thirsk, Sowerby and back to York House.
Thanks to Andy & Sue, Graham, Andy, Kevin, John, Graeme, Loz, John, Chris and Gary and his 2 pals from Old Hall Holiday Park who after the ride cycled all the way back to Old Hall.
That evening we had our annual race night, which sold out many weeks ago. It was a fantastic night with everyone getting into the spirit. Some had dressed up for the occasion while others enjoyed the forfeits of alcoholic shots a little too much!
This year we introduced an auction where on the last race we auctioned off the 8 horses before the race, with the winning horse collecting half the pot of money raised and the rest going to charity.
We raised an amazing total auction pot of £340 and to top it off, the winner used his half of the pot to buy one of the alcoholic shots – thank you John! 
In total from the bike ride and race night we raised a fantastic £570 for our chosen charity Herriot Hospice Homecare Thirsk.
